Using the latest distance learning technology and broadcasting techniques, your delegates are able to participate in live, online instructor-led events. All in-class action is captured on our cameras, edited, and broadcast live in high definition by our in-house production team. Online participants feel as if they are in the classroom.
2. What are the benefits of LFS's Virtual Classroom?
Our Virtual Classroom platform offers you great flexibility to reach out to your delegates wherever they are, whilst providing them with the same learning experience they would have in the classroom. Key benefits include:
- Easy web-based connection from any Internet accessible location and device, so you can reach out to a wider audience

3. How does the Virtual Classroom work?
The Virtual Classroom is accessed via a web browser application (WebEx), which integrates video, audio, chat and other online tools, allowing your delegates to interact and collaborate remotely with the instructor and in-class delegates. It all happens in real time; online participants can ask questions via their microphone, share content, participate in hands-on exercises and take part in group discussions.
All the interactive features and tools participants need are available via the Virtual Classroom, from which they can connect at home, workplace or anywhere that has a reliable high-speed Internet connection.
Access to the Virtual Classroom is provided via a unique meeting URL, which can be easily embedded in your website, or LMS, or sent to online participants by e-mail. This allows you to brand and customise your event according to your requirements.
4. How can online participants interact with the instructor and other participants?
Online participants will need a webcam and microphone-equipped headset so they can be seen by and speak with the instructor. They will hear the instructor's presentation and all in-class questions and discussions through their headset.
In-class action will be broadcast live in high definition by our in-house production team so online participants feel as if they are in the classroom.
During practical exercises, online participants can share their computer screens with the instructor to show their progress and/or get assistance and feedback. The instructor can even gain control of an online participant's computer remotely for guidance and collaboration during exercises.
5. What are the technical requirements for online participants to join the Virtual Classroom?
All they need is:
I. Audio-enabled computer (desktop or laptop) with minimum hardware requirements:
a. Intel Core2 Duo CPU 2.XX GHz, AMD or faster processor OR Intel Mac
b. A minimum of 2 GB of RAM
II. USB or integrated webcam
III. Headset or integrated speaker & microphone
IV. Reliable high-speed wired Internet connection
Online participants can also join the Virtual Classroom from their office workstations as long as they have network permission to install/run WebEx software application. In addition, their web browsers must have JavaScript and cookies enabled.
Please join a Meeting Test now to ensure your equipment and system set-up are compatible with WebEx. If you encounter any problem, please check with your IT department to ensure the internal firewall is not blocking the site.

7. Does LFS offer different Virtual Classroom packages?
We can tailor the Virtual Classroom format and package to suit your needs.
Premium packages include full technical support and live broadcasting production throughout your event. All in-class action is captured on our cameras (PTZ and static cameras), edited and broadcast live in high definition by our in-house team.
The equipment (i.e. cameras & microphones) in the training room is aesthetically very discreet and will be controlled remotely by our producer. The whole operation is practically imperceptible to in-classroom participants. Our team will actively monitor and provide instructors and online participants with all the support required to ensure the success of your event.
Standard packages offer a single, static camera setup with no added production value and basic technical support. You and your online participants will still benefit from all other capabilities of our Virtual Classroom platform, including live high-definition video, duo audio-visual communication channels and collaboration tools.
8. How can online participants get technical assistance if they experience problems during the live event?
Our support team will be available online from an hour before the start of the live event throughout its entire duration to provide technical support or answer any questions.
In the unlikely event of online participants being unable to connect, or if they encounter any technical difficulties which prevent them from using the live chat facility during their live event, they can contact us on +44 (0) 20 7378 1050.
